A Rabbit in Chi-town

This weekend Rabbit Hole Industries headed to Chicago in search of materials, to do "research" and of course to relax a bit.  I have to admit, all those naysayers asking me "why the hell would you go to Chicago in February" are absolutely right. It's freaking cold in this town.  But, there are some seriously awesome consignment, secondhand and vintage shops.  I perused the shops on Armitage Ave while my loving husband held court at a nearby bar named "Boston Blackies." Really? We're in a new city with lots of watering holes and you pick the joint with Boston in the name?  I met him there after my many purchases and the bartender started chatting us up and asked us where we were from.  "Massachusetts," I replied.  There was no way I was admitting that I was actually from Boston, I made it sound like I was from a town in the Berkshires on the New York border and had never heard of the place.

Anyway, the shopping.  I have two words to describe the treasures I found - MARC JACOBS. I love Marc Jacobs and apparently so do Chicago chics, or maybe they don't like him and that's why he ends up in a consignment store, you can look at it either way.  I chatted up a lovely lady at one of the shops who had just moved from Boston to open the consignment store I was in - verrrry interesting! Oh, and for the record Boston Blackies was not her favorite neighborhood bar. Anyway, I'm off to research which new outfit I should wear tonight.
