Reality Boots

If you have ill-shaped chubby calves like I do it might behoove you to embrace the ankle boot trend. Say goodbye to zipper ripping, lost circulation in your legs, and shoe department humiliation.

What do you wear with said boots? Think 1994 grunge, not Nirvana 1991 grunge. We’re talking Winona Ryder in Reality Bites – not Eddie Vedder in early Pearl Jam. Layers, opaque tights, plaids, florals, fishnets, belted cardigans - I could go on and on.

Recently, in a Christmas shopping for other people mishap, I wandered into The Tannery drunk with fashion inspiration and purchased two pairs similar to these:

These boots above, by fiorentine and baker, were one of Refinery 29's faves, and mine too. They're on sale for a cool $526.50!  They even suggest 7 perfect outfits to wear with them. How thoughtful.

Oh, and the best part about reliving 1994 is that 1995 is right around the corner! A little movie named Clueless ring a bell? Yes, you are that old.   The thigh-high socks are already creeping back, but these unfortunately, are not office appropriate.
